Frequently asked questions
Which poster size should I choose?+
A3/A2 for indoor and window display, A1/A0 for public display read from a distance.
Will the colours be accurate?+
Yes, CMYK printing on professional paper; we check your file before printing.
Can I print just one poster?+
Yes, from a single unit, with unit prices that decrease with quantity.
Which paper for outdoor display?+
115 gsm poster paper: weather resistant, with a blue back that stops the surface behind showing through β ideal for pasting and billboards. 80 gsm fluorescent paper (yellow, green or red, printed in black) catches the eye even in poorly lit spots. To last for weeks outdoors: 2.5 mm fluted display board or a rigid sign.
Does a finish protect against rain?+
UV varnish and lamination strengthen the poster and intensify the colours, but do not make it 100% waterproof (the edges are not sealed). For long exposure to the weather, choose poster paper, fluted display board or a banner.
Double-sided poster in a window: which paper weight?+
Choose at least 170 gsm: show-through between front and back is greatly reduced. For a pavement sign, A1 in 115 or 135 gsm is the standard.
What resolution for my poster artwork?+
150 dpi at final size is enough for a poster viewed from a distance; aim for 250 dpi for a photo poster viewed up close. 2 mm bleed on all sides. Our free AI analysis + human check verify this before printing.
