Page orientation

In a multi-page document, every page must share the same size and the same orientation. Mixing portrait and landscape pages disrupts imposition.

One orientation throughout

Set your document up as portrait or landscape and keep that choice on every page. To include a landscape visual in a portrait document, place the image inside the page without rotating the page itself.

Double-sided printing

For double-sided jobs, check how the back relates to the front: depending on whether the sheet flips on the long or the short edge, the back may need to be turned. If in doubt, say so clearly when you order.

Check before you send

  • Same size on every page
  • Same orientation on every page
  • Back-side orientation checked
Frequently asked questions
Should I rotate landscape pages in a portrait document?
No. Keep the page portrait and place the landscape content inside it; otherwise the imposition is thrown off.
