Front-and-back reading direction

The reading direction determines how the back lines up with the front. Get it wrong and the back comes out upside down once the print is in hand.

Binding on the long or the short edge

For a document bound or folded on the long edge, the back reads the same way as the front. For binding or flipping on the short edge (like a tear-off pad or a calendar), the back may need to be head-to-tail. Set the back’s orientation accordingly.

Folds

On a folded leaflet, each panel has its own reading direction. Refer to the template for your chosen fold to position the content of each side correctly.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my back side come out upside down?
The flip direction doesn’t match the finishing. Check whether the sheet turns on the long or the short edge and adjust the back’s orientation.
